WAIVED FEES ELIGIBILITY
Information below can also be found within the full policy, USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES.
The Board will cooperate with recognized agencies, such as Red Cross and Civil Defense, and will make suitable facilities available without charge during community emergencies or to prepare for civil defense.
The School District shall make its facilities available free of charge for Board approved preschool and/or latchkey programs. However, the School District may assess a fee to reimburse the School District for providing security, maintenance, utilities, school personnel, or other added costs directly attributable to the use of the buildings for such programs.
In situations where there is no cost factor to the District or in situations where a mutual exchange of facilities or benefits is possible between the School District and the organization, rates may be modified or eliminated.
The Board reserves the right to assess fees or charges for any group if excessive expenses are incurred during use. The Board also reserves the right to cancel any permission granted.
Should all or any part of the District's community be struck by a disaster, the Board shall make District grounds and/or facilities available, at no charge, for the housing, feeding, and care of victims or potential victims when requested by local, State, or Federal authorities.
