Girls U12 Basketball Program

Our focus at CE23 Academy will be player development with a broad foundation of skill learning to ensure growth as a complete basketball player. While there will be a variety of different skill complexities being taught, previous basketball experience is great; however, it will not be necessary.

Core concepts such as shooting, defence, dribbling, and passing, coupled with exposure to high-level age competition. Coaches will teach high-level basketball concepts to the athletes that will help improve their basketball IQ and comprehension of both ends of the floor. 

Proud Member of the NLBA, which will ensure your child has opportunities to play in the Jr. NBA, NLBA Winter Games, the Club Provincials, and the opportunity to represent your province on Team NL.

 

2025/26 Program Dates: September 8th - April 30th (date may be extended depending on NLBA Club Championship dates)

Intro to Fitness:

Fitness will look to begin in October. More information to come.

Welcome to our Learn to Move, Learn to Train Program. Designed to focus on proper strength training, which can enhance overall athletic performance. This program will focus on proper movement patterns to help young athletes develop stronger muscles, improved endurance, and enhanced coordination. All leading to better sports performance on the field or court

 

Payment Plans:

Payment plans will be applied to programs, academy league, fitness, and uniforms. 

1. 1 Payment: Pay in full upfront; please contact us via email or at the front desk

2. Monthly Payments: Monthly fees will automatically be charged on the authorized date. Monthly payments will require a credit card on file. 

 

PLACEMENT TRYOUTS:
There will be 5 hours' worth of placement tryouts at the beginning of the program to determine which training pod/team each player will be placed into. These tryouts will run from August 25th to September 2nd. Please see the breakdown below for teams, pricing, dates, and times.

TEAMS: (Subject to change depending on tryout numbers)

ELITE:

The following Teams will be selected through our placement tryouts (ALL TEAMS will play in the NLBA Club tournaments):

U12 Elite - 12-14 players 

 This group will practice 2 1.5-hour sessions per week.

Informed Consent and Acknowledgement

I hereby give my approval for my child’s participation in any and all activities prepared by CE23, during the selected camp. In exchange for the acceptance of said child’s candidacy by CE23, I assume all risk and hazards incidental to the conduct of the activities, and release, absolve and hold harmless CE23, and all its respective officers, agents, and representatives from any and all liability for injuries to said child arising out of traveling to, participating in, or returning from selected camp sessions.

In case of injury to said child, I hereby waive all claims against CE23, including all coaches and affiliates, all participants, sponsoring agencies, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event. There is a risk of being injured that is inherent in all sports activities, including basketball. Some of these injuries include, but are not limited to, the risk of fractures, paralysis, or death.

Medical Release and Authorization

As Parent and/or Guardian of the named athlete, I hereby authorize the diagnosis and treatment by a qualified and licensed medical professional, of the minor child, in the event of a medical emergency, which in the opinion of the attending medical professional, requires immediate attention to prevent further endangerment of the minor’s life, physical disfigurement, physical impairment, or other undue pain, suffering or discomfort, if delayed.

Permission is hereby granted to the attending physician to proceed with any medical or minor surgical treatment, x-ray examination and immunizations for the named athlete. In the event of an emergency arising out of serious illness, the need for major surgery, or significant accidental injury, I understand that every attempt will be made by the attending physician to contact me in the most expeditious way possible. This authorization is granted only after a reasonable effort has been made to reach me.

Permission is also granted to CE23 and its affiliates including Directors, Coaches, and Team Parents to provide the needed emergency treatment prior to the child’s admission to the medical facility.

Release authorized on the dates and/or duration of the registered season.

This release is authorized and executed of my own free will, with the sole purpose of authorizing medical treatment under emergency circumstances, for the protection of life and limb of the named minor child, in my absence.

Program Refund Policy 

• If a player cancels before the program starts or within the first 2 weeks, they will receive a full refund. 
• If a player cancels after the first 2 weeks but before half of the practices take place, they will receive a 50% refund. 
• If players cancel after 50% of the program has taken place, no refund will be issued. 
• Participants who are unable to continue due to a documented injury or medical condition may be eligible for a prorated account credit for the remaining sessions.

BY ACKNOWLEDGING AND SIGNING BELOW, I AM DELIVERING AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE THAT WILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE. THE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE WILL BE EQUALLY AS BINDING AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE.
