  • Tynker Professional Development Sessions

    Tynker Certified Educator - Level 1 requires you to participate live or watch a recording of Welcome to Tynker, Getting Started with Tynker, and Introduction to Tynker Blocks OR Introduction to Python.
  • Tynker Level 1 Activity Document

    Tynker Certified Educator- Level 1 requires you to submit the Level 1 Activity Document with completed activities from the sessions you attended. The link is provided in the professional development sessions.
  • Start Coding with Hour of Code

    Tynker Certified Educator-Level 1 requires you to complete an Hour of Code activity and reflect on it. That reflection can be found in the Level 1 Certification Activities: Jump In.
  • What to Expect on Submission

    On submission, you will receive a record of your response through email within 7-10 business days. A Tynker evaluator will evaluate your application, and you will receive an edited version of your initial response with the evaluator feedback attached underneath your responses. Tynker expects all applicants to submit original work. If your application meets the requirements, you will then receive an email from Tynker for Schools through Accredible with an attached badge and certificate.

    Tynker Distinguished Educator requires you to submit the Distinguished Educator Activity Document with completed activities from the sessions you attended. The link is provided in the professional development sessions.
  • Tynker Elective Activity Document

    Tynker Distinguished Educator requires you to submit the Elective Activity Document with completed activities from the sessions you attended. The link is provided in the professional development sessions. You can use the same Elective Activity Document you used in your Level 2 certification, and you should have at least three sets of activities completed.

    To become a Tynker Certified Educator - Level 3, you need to build a custom Tynker project that you can use with your students. This project should have a concise purpose, clear code, and directions to get kids started. If you need an idea to begin with, you can start with a Tynker DIY project and customize it with a new purpose.
