    Student Request to Drive a Vehicle to School (Parking Permit) 2020-2021
  • MOTOR VEHICLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    The school is concerned about the dangers involved in the use of automobiles and motorcycles by students. For those students bringing motor vehicles to school, the following regulations will be enforced.

    1. Students driving to school must obtain a parking permit from the Main Office.
    2. Student must report to office to add any vehicles to permit, or delete vehicles that are no longer in use.
    3. If at the time the semester report card is sent home, a student is failing any subject or shop class, that student may be deemed ineligible to drive until progress reports indicate passing.
    4. Suspension from school for more than four (4) days cumulative may result in driving suspension.
    5. Absences and tardies in excess of 10% may result in driving suspension.
    6. Students are not allowed to drive on school grounds in excess of 15 mph.
    7. Once a student has parked his/her car, he/she is not allowed to enter it again for any reason during the school day without Administrative authorization.
    8. School buses have the right of way at all times. It is illegal to pass buses with red lights flashing.
    9. Students with driving permits do not have the permission of the administration to transport other students to or from school.
    10. Students will park in designated student parking areas only . Permission from the administration is required to park elsewhere.
    11. Students are required to hang the parking permit on their rear view mirror facing forward . Permit is to be transferred from vehicle to vehicle if registered with the school.
    12. Seat belts are required to be worn appropriately by operator and passengers on school property.
    13. Motor vehicles are subject to search by administration (Refer to student/parent handbook).
    14. Unauthorized Motor vehicles are subject to tow at owners expense.
    15. First Parking Permit is Free. There will be a $3.00 fee for lost parking permits.
  • I understand and agree to the above vehicle rules and understand that any infraction may result in suspension of privileges and/or referral to the Registry of Motor Vehicles or Montague Police Department.
