The members of Magen AZA #2360 aim to bike 2000km between April 25 and May 25, 2022. Throughout this time the chapter will be educating its members about tikkun olam, tzedakah and the importance of giving back to our community. Members will ride in groups or individually but all for the same cause, to give back to and help build and strengthen our community around us.
Half of all proceeds will go to Ve’ahavta to help create transformative changes in the lives of people of all faiths and backgrounds who are experiencing poverty and homelessness. Ve'ahavta's outreach van program provides hot meals, essential clothing and hygiene supplies, along with follow-up support and referrals to community agencies to assist with access to housing, mental health and addiction treatment and other available resources. The remainder of proceeds will go to Magen AZA #2360, our chapter within BBYO, the world's leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, with over 700 teen-led chapters across 50 countries. Through BBYO, Jewish teens in communities of all shapes and sizes engage their peers in activities focused on community service, philanthropy, civic engagement, Israel education, and Jewish heritage, among other topics.
