Trainee placements are reviewed on a quarterly basis; therefore, responses may be delayed until the next review period. Please be assured that your application has been received, and you will be contacted when the review process commences, typically within three to four months. Thank you.
Therapy Lounge Collective (TLC) is a private therapy service providing support to individuals and businesses across Leicester, Leicestershire, and the wider region. As a private provider, service costs can exceed what is accessible for some individuals. By offering trainee placements, TLC aims to extend access to therapy for those on lower incomes by providing services at a reduced rate.

This placement offers a unique opportunity to gain experience within a private therapy setting. To maintain a high standard of service, TLC operates a rigorous application process and therefore requires applicants to meet the following criteria:
- Membership of a recognised professional body (including student membership)
- Enrolment on an approved counselling training programme at degree or master’s level
- Availability to offer a minimum of three practice hours per week for at least two years
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check
- Valid professional indemnity insurance
- Clinical supervision in line with the requirements of the relevant professional body
- Approval from the training provider to commence clinical practice
