INTERNATIONAL NETWORK ON OFFSHORE RENEWABLE ENERGY
  • About this Virtual Event

    Topic: INORE Virtual Symposium
    Date: Nov 19, 2020
    Time: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (GMT)

The International Network on Offshore Renewable Energy (INORE) is an association of postgraduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and other professionals at early stages of their careers, working in the fields of offshore wind, wave, tidal and ocean thermal energy conversion.

INORE has more than 1000 members from over 70 countries, representing a network that spans a multitude of research fields, including technological, social, economic and environmental aspects.

This virtual event will give participants a chance to experience what INORE is all about. The event includes industrial talks with Q&A, a three-minute thesis competition and a discussion session in which panel members and event attendees can discuss the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on offshore renewable energy.

There will also be networking opportunities via an event brochure, event Slack channel, and a chance for informal conversations with other participants before, during and after the event.

    Registration is now closed.

  • Please provide the following information.

  • An important aspect of INORE is to create a network of early stage researchers working in offshore renewable energy to encourage and facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration. An event brochure will be circulated prior to the event in which all attendees have a short bio about who they are and what they work on. This is to allow people working in similar areas to start a conversation with each other.

  • The event includes a three-minute thesis competition in which participants get the opportunity to share a piece of work in a well prepared, three-minute presentation. This is an excellent opportunity to get the word out about a piece of work you are passionate about. Entry to the three minute thesis competition is now closed.
