COURSE OUTLINE & PRICING:
This is a MANDATORY 8-day course that is dedicated to teaching you the basic skills necessary to become a professional makeup artist.
The classes will consist of 2 hours of lectures and learning techniques and 2 hours of practice time. The practice time on a live model will depend on the availability of models.
You may be eligible for our internship program, based on the completion of your certification. The internship is a great way to build your portfolio, help you better your skills and provide you with continued training.
This will be a separate application and you can be eligible for this once you have completed your courses.
Once your enrollment is confirmed, you will be receiving a list of recommended products to bring as well as the course dates and times.
Course Guidelines:
Day 1: Intro Business Basics, Sanitation, Client Communication, Professional Makeup Kit Dissected (lecture only)
- Discuss Professional Bridal Artistry Goals and Business Goals
- Learn the proper tools and key products that belong in the Professional Beauty Kit. (Note: We will discuss certain products and how they react to certain skin types)
- Discussion about the proper sanitation and the regulatory laws
- Discuss how to properly and effectively communicate with clients

Day 2: All About Skin Prep/Complexion (Lecture/ Live Demo/Practical)
- Discuss the various makeup looks, Soft Glam, Bridal, Natural, and Retro Etc.
- Discuss how to communicate with clients to give them the look they want.
- Learn how to identify skin types and to be able to work with different skin types such as Dry, Mature, Sensitive, Oily, etc.
- Learn which primers to use for various skin types
- Learn the proper techniques on how to make skin look flawless
- Foundation- learn how to properly color match, mix foundations formulas, and blend colors to create the perfect color for your client
- Skin- Color Correcting- the importance of color correcting, how to correctly color correct clients, and properly match concealers
- Contour and Highlight- Learn the difference between Liquid, Crème, and Airbrush and know which is best for certain skin types.
- Learn how to apply blush and be able to choose which ones fit the look
- Learn the different face shapes and architecture to be able to enhance them with contour and highlight

Day 3: Full Flawless Complexion Part II & Eye Brow (Continuation) (lecture/ live demo/Practical)
- Learn the proper techniques on how to make skin look flawless
- Learn the importance of moisturizing all skin types and use what products to give it the best canvas
- Foundation- learn how to properly color match, and blend colors to create the perfect color for your client
- Skin- Color Correcting- the importance of color correcting, how to correctly apply color correcting to clients, how to properly match concealers to different skin tones
- Continue on Contour and Highlight Work on Model Skin
- Students will be able to complete the full-face flawless application for any special occasion
- Learn how to shape and sculpt brows
- Student will work on another student or practice on their own skin
Lips (lecture/ live demo)
- Identify various lips
- Learn how to communicate with clients regarding desired lip shade
- Learn how to line lips and blend lip colors to finish off your client’s perfect look

- Learn how to create the perfect Wing eyeliner.

Day 8: Final Exam - Graduation Day

- Comprehension Final Exam
- Practical (Timed) Final Exam - Please bring a model for the live demonstration portion of the exam. Combine all the techniques you learned and apply to the Model. The student will pick the desired look for the final exam.
- Graduation - Certification Award Ceremony, Please invite your family and friends to share with your joy on your great achievement!
Upon completion of the Pro Makeup Course: The student will receive a Professional Makeup Certification and be officially “JTorry Certified”
