We are fully open, but still being careful to follow CDC-recommended safety procedures.
Throughout the COVID pandemic our church has placed a premium on protecting the health of our congregation. To our knowledge, not a single case of COVID has been caught in our church building -- and we want to keep it that way! So the following rules still apply for any who attend:
Upon entering the building, we will take your temperature and ask the usual COVID screening questions.
With the Delta variant, masks are temporarily required for our Sunday worship services for everyone except children under five. (This is consistent with current CDC guidance. The CDC recommends indoor masking even for fully vaccinated people living in counties with substantial or high transmission rates. Marion County is currently classified as having a substantial transmission rate.)
The same masking rules apply to our Teen Life group and in our Children’s Wing. Masks are required for everyone except children under five.
In our small groups (such as Oasis Groups and Discipleship Classes), masks are optional for those who are fully vaccinated and required for those who are not. However, each group or class is allowed to adopt a stricter policy if they wish.
It's important to emphasize that we continue to practice social distancing in all church settings. Please respect the personal space of those around you. Please do not touch or hug someone without their express permission. In the sanctuary, please do not sit directly next to, in front of, or behind someone who is not in your family or friendship group without their express permission. We have plenty of room in the sanctuary to social distance in seating.
We look forward to welcoming you into a safe, wonderful, thought-provoking worship experience!
