If you think the physical level of activities of this programme is more than you are used to, start by answering the following questions

The purpose of an exercise programme is to help you to achieve your health and fitness goals and this form is to make you aware of the risks involved.
  • Any exercise programme carries with it an element of risk. Results Gym sessions will be designed to minimise these risks whilst providing an effective exercise/activity intensity.

Results Gym trainers and programmes will be based upon your present activity/exercise levels and designed around the goals that you wish to achieve.

If your plan includes certain types of cardio-vascular exercise, Your breathing and heart rate will increase as a result of these activities as would be expected from physical exercise of this type.

As your fitness improves, you may participate in more vigorous levels of activity if this is part of your overall goal, but these will be within your capabilities.

All activities in our classes or personal training sessions will be explained and demonstrated. Please feel free to ask questions or repeat the exercises for clarification especially if you are new to exercise or unsure.

Please inform your trainer/instructor any reason that you should not participate in an activity.(such as illness or injury which might be aggravated by exercise, or eating certain foods),

We recommend a full gym induction to demonstrate correct exercise form and the use of the gym equipment especially if you are new to exercise or unsure how the equipment is operated.

When performing free weight exercises, I would recommend lifting weights within your current capabilities and stress using the safety arms when performing squats, bench presses and variations. If going for personal bests / records I would also recommend an experienced training partner or a member of staff to spot and supervise for safety reasons.

During unmanned hours, we highly recommend sticking to your current capabilities and exercise knowledge. For safety reasons we advise booking in with staff for the demonstration of new exercises or equipment.

The risks associated with exercising and training can include minor scrapes, bumps and bruises, to more serious health issues, broken bones/limbs heart, issues, stroke and loss of life.

If, at any time, you feel undue pain or excessive discomfort stop the activity and inform your trainer of your symptoms. You are free to withdraw from any activity at any time you wish.
