Our city was shaken following the events of August 23, 2020. Downtown Kenosha, Inc. wants to assist in the best way we know how: by helping our business family through the challenging financial impact of these events with the One Town Recovery Grant.
The goal of this program is to stabilize local businesses and repair damages utilizing the funds raised by Downtown Kenosha, Inc. following the unrest.
We are offering this one-time grant award to businesses that were most affected by these events. Grant requests ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 may be applied for. We know there is greater need for financial assistance in our community than we can offer at this time, and we will continue fundraising. We sincerely request all potential applicants please apply only if you feel these contributions will immediately impact your rebuilding needs. Our city came together in the hours and days following the unrest, and we ask you to keep that community spirit in mind as we try to help our neighbors who need help the most.
As part of this application, we are asking you to share your story. Please provide as much detail as possible about your former operations, how you have been affected in every aspect of your lives from these events, and how you plan to move forward. We also ask you share as much supporting documentation as you are comfortable with, so our committee may best understand the impact on you, your family and your business.
If you need assistance with gathering supporting documents or answering application questions, please contact our team:
