The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of complex accounting tasks, including financial reporting, cash flow management, Form 990 preparation, and assisting with HR/Payroll duties. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Develop and maintain financial reporting procedures.
Cash Flow Management:

Monitor and manage the organization's cash flow.

Prepare cash flow forecasts and identify potential cash flow issues.

Optimize cash management practices.
Form 990 Preparation:

Assist in the preparation of Form 990 for non-profit entities (house
corporations).

Gather and analyze financial data for tax reporting purposes.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
HR/Payroll Duties:

Oversee the processing of payroll for chapter employees, including House
Directors, House Chefs, and Housekeepers.

Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll forms, including W-2s.

Assist with employee onboarding and benefits administration.
Other Accounting Duties:

Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with the annual audit process.

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.

Provide guidance and support to accounting staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP.

Experience with non-profit accounting and Form 990 preparation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Membership in Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity preferred, but not required.
