Application requirements are as follows:

1. Application materials must be submitted by the DEADLINE of Thursday, November 30, 2024, 9:00 PM by submission of this online application (NO EXCEPTIONS) 
2. Applicants must be first or second-generation Jamaican-American female high school student resident of Florida who attends college in the fall of 2025.
3. Applicants must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA evidenced on a transcript from their school guidance department. 
4. Applicants must compose an essay (maximum 1200 words) explaining why they should be awarded this scholarship.
5. Each applicant must provide proof of commitment as a volunteer in community projects. (At least 40 hours minimum)
6. Also, include 2 letters of recommendation. One must be from a teacher, guidance counselor/director or administrator.
7. All application materials must include the applicant’s contact information (name/date of birth/address/telephone/email address) 
8. A  resume 
9. A signed photograph

NOTE: TO ACCEPT THE AWARD Scholarship recipient is expected to be in attendance at the Jamaican Women of Florida’s Annual Women Empowerment Conference on March 08, 2025
