Students Academically Suspended from Coastal Alabama:
If a student declares no contest to the facts leading to suspension under Standards of Academic Progress, but simply wishes to request consideration for readmission, the student may submit an appeal using this form to the Admissions/Academic Standards Committee which gives the student an opportunity to present a rationale and/or statement of mitigating circumstances in support of immediate readmission. The decision of the Admissions/Academic Standards Committee, together with the materials presented by the student, shall be placed in the student's official records. Additionally, a copy of the written decision of the Committee shall be provided to the student. Equity, reasonableness, and consistency should be the standards by which such decisions are measured.
Students Academically Suspended from Another Institution:
Applicants who have been suspended from another institution for academic reasons will not be considered for admission except upon appeal to the Admissions/Academic Standards Committee. All requests, stating the reason why applicants want to be considered for admission to the College, must be submitted using this form. A copy of the applicant’s transcript from the institution placing the applicants on suspension, MUST be uploaded with this form.
All appeals must be submitted BEFORE the first day of class of the term applicants are seeking to enroll, in order to be considered for admission to the College for said term.
