  • What is Selective Service and why do I have to register?

The Selective Service System is a program that registers eligible men in the United States for military services in case of a national emergency. The SSS provided the Department of Defence with personnel in the event of a national emergency. Under the Military Selective Service Act, all male U.S. citizens and mot male immigrants between the ages of 18 and 25 must register with the Selective Service.

NOTE:  Registering with Selective Service does not mean you are joining the military.

Registration is required to enroll at Goodwill Technical College. You can register for Selective Service by clicking here. Your admissions application cannot be processed until this form is completed and proof of registration or exemption status is received.
