Rescue List Application
Need help with this? Email rescue@wildcare.org.au for assistance
Please add times for each day when you are available for rescue or transport. Hotline staff will use these times as guides when attempting to secure a rescue or transport resource. Examples: 12am - 6am, 5pm - 10pm, any time, any time except 9am - 5pm
Rescue List options - tick all the boxes that suit your availability and experience. If you tick all 3, you will be added to the Rescue List and you will need to download xMatters to your mobile phone (instructions and logon will be provided). This means you may receive phone calls, text messages or xMatters notifications to request assistance with wildlife rescues or transfers. We also post some jobs on Facebook via the Wildcare Wildlife Transport group. Tick the 4th box if you would like more information before deciding and we will get back to you.
xMatters only - only receive jobs via xMatters (used in most areas for routine jobs). No phone calls or text messages from the Hotline.
Transport only - only transport of contained animals, no rescues. Please consider joining the Transport Roster if you have regular availability for transfer of animals to hospital (Gold Coast only)
Rescue List only - you will receive requests for rescue / transport via phone or text message only via the Hotline. Note that most routine jobs are sent via xMatters instead.
Help! Too complicated, contact me to explain the options
When are you free to undertake rescue activities? Leave blank if your availability is complex or too variable to record here. These times are used as a guide by the Hotline staff for phone calls only. SMS messages and xMatters jobs may be sent outside your available times to give you the option to respond or ignore.
