  • What event are you entering?

  • In the "Team Group" it does not matter if your members are entering Triathlon or Duathlon/Individual or Team.  You do not need to work together/be family or anything other rules.. It is all about encouraging each other to enter, train together when you can, motivate, help each other over obstacles and have a great day together. You can have your own bike racks and put up a gazebo in the finish area to celebrate your team success. 

  • Entry Fees:   
    From now until 21st March 2021 - $50
    From 22nd March to 28th March 2021 - $70

    Refunds for special circomstances will be given at the discretion of the Event Organiser (less an administration fee) until 1st March 2021
    After that refunds will not be given on withdrawal from, or non-starting of an event. You may however transfer your entry to another person at any time leading up to the event. Entry may be transferred to another person.

  • Event Rules

    The following rules are for your safety and to ensure you have a smooth, fun day.  Please read these and if you have any questions contact Barb by email on info@womenstri.co.nz or call or text on 027 271 9721

    1. All participants even if you have pre-entered, must register on either Friday 7th or Saturday 8th Feb before the event and attend the event briefing at 7.40am on Sunday 9th Feb.  

    2. Participants must remember that the event is being held on public roads. Caution and commonsense must be used at all times. 

    3. All road rules must be obeyed at all times. We do not have road closure for any part of the event.  Do not presume that you have any special privileges or right of way because you are participating in the event.

    4. Crossing the white center line of the road at any stage during the cycle will result in automatic disqualification.

    5. Marshals will be located on every turning corner & are there to assist your safety around the course; however, they are not able to stop traffic. You must obey their instructions and normal road rules at all times. Please note it is your responsibility to know the course and if you are completing more than 1 lap.  It is not the marshals job to know where you are in the event.

    6. Cycle helmets of good condition and an approved standard must be worn. Your helmet must be securely fastened before you remove your bike from the bike stand and stay fastened until your bike is returned to the bike stand at the end of the cycle leg.  

    7. Wearing headphones or earplugs (music) during the cycle leg is not permitted.

    8. Medical personnel and the Event organiser have the right to remove any participant from the event for medical reasons should they consider it necessary.

    9. Refunds for special circumstances at the discretion of the event organiser before the 1st March 2021 and will carry a $15 admin fee. However entry may be transferred to another person at any time. 

    10. Refunds will not be given on your withdrawing from, or non-starting of an event on the 28th March 2021.  

    11. Any decision made by the Event Organiser with regard to safety or application of any the rules or terms and conditions is final. 

     

  • Terms & Conditions

    1. I agree to abide by all event rules (as listed below), and directions issued by the event organisers. 
    2. I acknowledge that triathlon and duathlon involves the real risk of serious injury or even death from various causes including overexertion, equipment failure, dehydration, accidents with other competitors, spectators or road users, course or weather conditions and other causes. 
    3. I accept all risks necessarily flowing from my participation, which could result in loss of life or permanent injury.  Accordingly, I release all persons or corporations associated directly or indirectly with the conduct of the event from all claims demands and proceedings arising out of my participation and I hereby indemnify them against all liability (including liability for their negligence and the negligence of others) for injury or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this event.  This release shall extend to and include the Connecting Women & Sport Trust, Events with Purpose Ltd and their respective sponsors and volunteers including medical personnel appointed for the event, the owners, licensees, and occupiers of land upon which the event or any part of it is conducted, any statutory body or local authority having control over any land upon which the event or any part of it is conducted or which is involved directly or indirectly with the event in any manner whatsoever and promoters, sponsors and event organisers.  This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representative and assigns.   
    4. I consent to receiving medical treatment that the event organisers think desirable during or after the event. 
    5. Safety precautions undertaken by the organisers (such as course supervision, event safety briefing, cycle and helmet safety checks) are a service to me and other competitors but are not a guarantee of safety. 
    6. I am fully responsible for the security of my personal possessions at the event. 
    7. I acknowledge that by reason of circumstances beyond the control of the event directors, it may become necessary or desirable to change the format of the event, and if that occurs, I consent to the changes and I agree that each and every one of the conditions herein set out shall apply to that changed event. 
    8. If the event is cancelled due to flood, cyclones, torrential rains or other “acts of God” conditions I understand that entry fee will not be refunded. 
    9. I understand the Covid Plan of the PhysioMed Women's Triathlon & Duathlon
    Level 1 -  The event will be held with the normal guidelines of contact tracing, hand washing procedures, respecting personal distance and staying home if I am not well.  
    Level 2 -  The event will become a Duathlon for everyone and will have transition zones and start times to create smaller groups. More details will be sent out if this is necessary closer to the event. 
    Level 3 or Level 4 - The event will be postponed and all entries will be transferred over to the new date set by the organiser, or If the event cannot continue within a reasonable time frame there will be a refund  of your entry fee less $5 to cover admin costs. All entrants will be notified. 
    10. I consent to the event organisers using my name, image and likeness before during or after the event for event promotional broadcasting or reporting purposes to the media. 
    11. I agree to my name and contact details being included on the event database, from which I will receive from time to time event information, newsletters and sponsors information. Your name and contact details will not be passed onto any other person.
