This is especially important as we schedule our work by setting up routes. Additionally, we confirm each appointment various ways. When you cancel, we need to find a replacement pup within the route to fill the void of your cancellation and we need 48 hours to do so. FAILURE TO CALL 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE MAY RESULT IN A CANCELLATION FEE OF $50.00 This cancellation fee must be paid prior to any future grooming appointment.

The grooming schedule is a living calendar with changes taking place constantly. (Clients schedule, reschedule, and cancel all the time causing routing changes). In addition, every dog takes a different amount of time to groom. Therefore, your appointment time may shift from the time originally set, based on the natural changes of the schedule. We try to have the schedule solidified 4 days before your appointment date. At that time, you will receive an emailed appointment reminder with an updated ETA. If you ever have a challenge with the assigned time that is on your email reminder, please reach out to us and we will figure it out.

We will arrive as close to the scheduled appointment time as possible, however we work with unpredictable things. Doggies and traffic! A dog’s safety will never be compromised by rushing to meet a schedule. So please allow a 30-minute window on either side of the appointment time to be considered an on time arrival. We will call/text you if it is more than 30 minutes.

Latchkey ONLY applies to Clients who specifically request such service: Once we know you and your pup, we can provide latchkey service. We request customers to provide appropriate entry codes and/or a hidden key providing access to your home. This is only available to dogs that will come to the stylist OR are crated. The stylist will not try to locate your pet in your home nor chase your pet around the yard. It is simply not safe for either.

Pricing varies for each dog and is determined by breed, size, services requested, and condition of your pet. Quotes given over the phone are subject to our Groomer’s evaluation at the time of service. Adjustments to pricing and/or additional charges may apply for unknown conditions during the initial phone call. This is due to the added time it will take to care for your pet. Additional charges may occur for De-matting, de-shedding, excessive coats, oversized, or elderly dogs. Lastly, additional charges may apply due to the dog’s temperament and behavior during the groom.

Fleas can easily spread to other dogs that are seen after our visit with you. Therefore, ANY pet that comes on board with fleas is immediately put into the tub for a flea bath; this will result in the owner being charged an extra $10.00 for use of flea shampoo and for the extra sanitation of the van after your pup exits.

We request that YOU, the dog owner, advise us of any medical, physical, emotional issues, behavior problems, allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions that your dog may have. This is critical to properly care for your pet! Although we cannot diagnose a condition, we will advise the owner of any condition we encounter during our groom for you to care for or seek out veterinary attention. We may not perform services if we feel it may pose a potential risk to the dog or groomer. Lastly, we will not groom any dog that has not had their rabies vaccinations.

Please understand that an unmanageable pet can pose a danger to both themselves and the stylist. Pets who exhibit extreme behaviors such as continuous struggling, biting, aggressive behavior, urinating or defecating during the grooming process will be returned to the owner AS IS. Rover Done Over reserves the right to refuse, stop, or cancel grooming services at any time before or during grooming process due to a behavior that we feel could put the pet or pet stylist at risk. Payment will still be due regardless of our inability to compete the grooming.

If your pet is matted with severely tangled fur, every effort will be made to protect their skin and coat while brushing and/or removing the hair. When removing hair that is matted, the skin can become sensitive and can incur clipper marks, abrasions, rashes, nicks, itchiness, or redness. In some cases, the entire skin can become sensitive due to shock of removing severely matted hair. Matting removed from the ears may cause hematomas (swelling of blood) in part of the ear. These symptoms may present themselves during or after the grooming service. In addition, your pet may scratch, itch, lick, rub or bite any sensitive areas that have been exposed due to removal of matted hair. Prevention is the best defense which is one of the reasons that we recommend regular grooming. You agree to NOT HOLD ROVER DONE OVER RESPONSIBLE for any potential problems that manifest because of grooming your matted and/or severely tangled pet. We will also not de-mat when it causes undue stress on your pup. Your pet will get a shorter cut and start over. We choose humanity over vanity.

Although accidents are exceedingly rare, there is a risk when dealing with pets. Grooming equipment is sharp, and although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems can occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, and quicking of nails. In most cases, this can happen when a pet is wiggly or moving around. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our #1 priority. We will immediately disclose such situations and work with you in caring for your pet.
