    Series: Acts: Empowered for the Mission, Part 9

    Text: Acts 3:11-26

    Main Idea: To share the gospel correctly we must exalt Jesus, confront sinners of their guilt & impending judgment & offer God’s gracious forgiveness to those who repent.

  • 1.        Christ: We must deflect self-glory & exalt Jesus.

    • We must tell others who Jesus is:
      1.        : From the root Joshua which means “Yahweh saves.” (v. 6, 16)
      2.        : Came to do the will of the God of Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob. (v. 13)
      3.        & Righteous One: Jesus was without sin. (Ps 16:10, Jn 6:68-69)
      4.    of Life: Jesus is the source of life. (Heb 12:2, Jn 5:26)
      5.    : God appointed Jesus to be His anointed one to fulfill all prophecies. (v. 18)
      6.    : Jesus is the prophet whom Moses & all other prophets predicted would come. (v. 22, Deut 18:15)
      7. Seed of       : Jesus is the seed through whom all the nations of the earth shall be blessed. (v. 25, Gen 22:18)


    •  We must tell others what Jesus has done:
      1.  Jesus      on the cross just as God planned it & the prophets declared it. (v. 18, Is 53)
      2. Jesus was      from the dead & ascended. (v. 15)
      3.  Jesus is      again to fulfill God’s promises to Israel & to judge those who reject Him. (v. 19-23)


    2.     Tell the      News: Every sinner is      and in      of impending judgment. (v. 13-18)


    3.     Tell the      News: God’s gracious      is available to even the worst of sinners who      . (19)
