Definition of a Color Correction
A color correction is when an aggressive or extreme change in hair color is desired. Color corrections can address anything from unwanted tones, spots and stripes, stubborn fashion color, or at home, DIY color jobs. A color correction frequently requires that every hair be addressed and sometimes in multiple ways. Color corrections are not an exact science and each one is completely individualized, therefore there are frequently unknowns until the process is started. If you think you need a color correction please carefully read and fill out the questionaire below.

We know your time is valuable but color corrections can vary anywhere between 3 and 8 hours, sometimes more. Your stylist will work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Are you interested in correcting your color in one sitting or would you rather split up the appointments? Please understand that although we are asking for your preference, sometimes it is up to the hair and not us, and a correction cannot always be achieved in one session. Also note that the number of visits cannot always be determined until the process is started.*

I understand the following:*

I understand the estimate of time and cost may be adjusted once the correction starts.I have been informed that a small percentage of individuals may react to hair coloring even though they have never had a reaction in the past with repeated applications.I've been informed that a patch test is recommended if I've never had color done before, which determines whether or not I will experience a reaction to hair coloring. This will be given to me by my colorist at Dolce Vita Salon. Patch tests are given 48 hours (2 days) before my appointment for hair coloring.I have read and understand the information above, however, I choose to forgo the patch test and direct my colorist to proceed with coloring my hair at this time. By signing this waiver/form I hold harmless Dolce VIta Salon, its owners, and its employees from any liability arising from application of hair coloring products from this date forward.I understand the stylist will answer all questions and will recommend a home maintenance program for my hair color and hair repair.I understand the Stylist and Dolce Vita Salon cannot guarantee my color outcome or longevity without using the professional products recommended.I understand the estimate given does not include any following visits due to fading or changing of color.I understand a small percentage of individual experiences adverse reactions due to the application of hair coloring products. These reactions can include burning, redness, itching or swelling. Some people develop chemical burns on the scalp and hairline. I understand the importance of giving all information of the services done to my hair prior to the Color Correction Service and have informed my stylist about the medications or vitamins I take. I do not hold Dolce Vita Salon, the owner or employees liable for any reaction I have.I understand color correction is a process that may require multiple visits to be fully correct.I understand that when I leave the salon today my hair may not look exactly like the photograph I have shown as my desired finished look.

- A $35 consultation is required to assess your hair and set realistic expectations.
- Color correction services start at $134+ per hour, with appointments lasting 3-6 hours.
- We prioritize the health of your hair and may refuse services deemed unsafe.
