Sharon Hansford was part of the original team that set up the TAA Community Clinic in 2011, the goal was to offer acupuncture at an affordable cost, 'acupuncture available to all' but NOT a 'one size fits all.' Therefore to still give the same attentive Five Element service that you would get in a private practice, but at around half the normal fee. However, each treatment is still tailored to the individual, so two patients can come in with the same symptom but the treatment can be very different. Heather Adams has now joined the clinic after graduating from TAA in 2016. She shares the same passion for making acupuncture affordable and has worked in holistic therapies for most of her career. The Acupuncture Community Clinic has become increasingly popular and offers a relaxed and calm approach to treatment. The multibed means that other couches are in the clinic and they are sectioned off by screens, so keeping fees to a minimum. There is always the opportunity to speak to Sharon and Heather in private.
Both practitioners are used to dealing with physical aches and pains. Five Element acupuncture is excellent for mental health issues like anxiety, stress and depression. Over the years the clinic has helped many patients with fertility issues whether they have been trying to conceive naturally or by using IVF. This help also extends to treating pregnancy related symptoms. All in all this beautiful theory of acupuncture has something to offer everyone as many have it to simply boost their immune system or for general wellbeing. The clinic has treated little ones from 3 years old to those in their 90's and the results that can be achieved always amaze them.
Sharon and Heather are trained in Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture and this is available at the Community Clinic at a discounted cost. Both undergo Continuing Professional Development as a requirement for British Acupuncture Council members.
