Pageant Rules
Please Read before Submitting
- The information you provide must be true and accurate.
- You must be a resident of Ionia County.
- You must be a high school student, high school graduate or college student.
- You must have reached your 16th birthday, but not your 21st birthday, by July 30th, 2022.
- You must not be under contract to any person, firm or corporation, nor have any other legal obligations that would prevent your participation in the Miss Ionia County selection process.
- You must never have been convicted of a serious crime, nor have any criminal charges pending against you.
- You must be available during all rehearsals and other Miss Ionia County Scholarship Program events.
- If you are chosen as Miss Ionia County, you will not be eligible to compete again, even if you meet all the other eligibility requirements.
- You are responsible for all means of transportation to and from venues.
- The Miss Ionia County Scholarship Program reserves the right to reject any applications it feels do not meet the requirements.
- The time, method, and manner of judging the contest shall be at the sole discretion of the Miss Ionia County Scholarship Program and that the decision of the judges shall be final.
- The pageant staff/committee members are not responsible for any accident, injury, or loss during the pageant, rehearsals, and program related events.
- If you are Miss Ionia County, First Runner-Up, or Second Runner-Up and you decide to resign any time throughout your reign, you will not be allowed to compete again for the title of Miss Ionia County.
- You cannot wear your crown and sash anytime in public during your reign unless authorized by the Directors for scheduled appearances.
- You cannot allow anyone else to wear your crown and sash publicly at any time during your reign.
- You cannot post yourself committing any crime on any online platform.
- If it is found you are slandering another contestant or bullying others online, you will be removed from the program immediately and forfeit your crown. This includes, racism, sexism, hate speech, and discrimination.
- No one is allowed in the dressing room at any time before, during, or after the pageant except the pageant committee and contestants. This will be strictly enforced.
- Closing date for applications is Friday, June 10th, 2022 or until the 15 applicant maximum has been met.
- Drop out replacement entries will be accepted no later than June 23rd.
- It is important you do not miss rehearsals! To maintain fairness all contestants should have the same amount of practice. This is your responsibility. If you know you are going to be late, please make arrangements with the Pageant Director before the start of practice. Only one practice will be allowed to be missed unless an exception is made by the Directors.
Scholarship Prizes:
Miss Ionia County - $1,500 scholarship
1st Runner-up - $750 scholarship
2nd Runner-up - $500 scholarship
