Exemption proof
Below is a list of the proof we will accept for each exemption. These rules are set by the Public Utilities commission of Texas (PUCT), we've summarised the information for you below but you can access the PUCT requirement 25.478.E here. Warning, they're pretty boring.

Proof |
You are 65 or older and do not have a delinquent balance with your current provider. |
- Photo or scanned copy of any valid ID displaying your date of birth.
AND
- A letter of credit from your current provider or a screenshot of your account showing no delinquent balance.

You are a victim of family violence and can provide a certification letter by the Texas Council on Family Violence.

You can provide evidence that you have a credit score above 600.

A screenshot or scanned copy of your credit score issued by a credit reporting agency e.g Experian, Equifax or TransUnion. |
You have previously been a Bulb member for at least 3 months and have not missed any payments.

Attatch an old Bulb bill or any correspondance showing your previous service address so we can identify your old account. |
