WORKSHOP

Laser Safety Officer (LSO) Workshop

This comprehensive workshop is designed for new and current Laser Safety Officers, as well as those seeking to strengthen their knowledge of laser safety management. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of laser hazards, classifications, and safe operating practices, followed by an overview of applicable regulations and standards governing laser use. The training will cover the roles and responsibilities of the LSO, including program oversight, hazard assessments, and training coordination. Attendees will also learn best practices for conducting reviews and inspections, ensuring proper posting of warning signs and labels, and maintaining compliance documentation. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively manage a laser safety program and promote a safe work environment.
