What should I write?
Christmas is usually a time we remember for being about family, happiness, giving and receiving presents. It's also a time that can be quite difficult for very many people. What is guaranteed to bring us together are stories. Stories about anything; from years ago or in the future. One person or a group of people! A story to excite, inspire, wow, entertain...maybe even scare! That's down to you!
How long should it be?
Your fictional stories (not scripts) should be no shorter than 7 minutes and no longer than 10 minutes when read, at a steady narrative pace. Think like a Jackanory story, read from a book for storytime.
What's it for?
To share on our online platforms to engage our regular audience but also to encourage a wider audience for all boroughs of Manchester, to inject some Christmas spirit (whatever that means to you!) and to raise money for a brilliant Charity; The Wood Street Mission, a children’s charity helping children and families living on a low income in Manchester and Salford.
Count me in! What next?
