Wardrobe/Style Tips: 

TIP #1: MAMAS, PICK YOUR OUTFIT FIRST.
It can be overwhelming to try to pick out a bunch of cute, stylish, and also timeless outfits for your whole crew! So instead of trying to pull the best of the best from everyone’s closets simultaneously and see what coordinates well together, just start in one place. Your own outfit. I mean, that’s more fun anyway, right?! Think about it: You’ll feel most relaxed AND confident if you pick out your clothes first and wear something you love and feel great in. So, start with your own clothes, and then you can pick everyone else’s.

TIP #2: CHOOSE COORDINATING OUTFITS FOR EVERYONE ELSE.

Pick colors and tones that coordinate and complement one another. Try to stick to a certain theme (like neutrals, or cool tones, or grays and whites), but don’t overthink it. Try to choose a color palette with three or four colors that most of the outfits incorporate (again, use your outfit as the base!), and avoid neon or super bright colors. They’re just hard to photograph and distract from your family’s natural beauty. Think natural, colours found in nature... earth tones or neutrals are ALWAYS a win! 

TIP #3: SUBTLY MIX IN TEXTURES & PATTERNS.
You may feel more comfortable having everyone in solid color fabrics, but you can also feel free to mix in a couple different patterns and textures to add some more dimension and character! The key here is, less is more. If one child is wearing stripes, don’t put the whole family in stripes and polka dots and plaid. That’s just too busy and too much. Think of blending complementary tones, textures, and patterns: a cream linen dress on you, tan corduroy overalls with a white cotton long-sleeve tee underneath on your little boy, and your hubby in a sage henley with nice jeans. Definitely steer clear of any clothing with characters, brand names, logos, or words printed on them. Simple, clean, and comfortable is best here!

TIP #4: GET YOUR LITTLES INVOLVED!
The key to getting your kids to wear coordinating outfits and excited to take pictures is letting them in on the process, not just dictating what to wear and when it’s going to happen. But, that doesn’t mean you need to give them total and complete free reign!

Pick 2 or 3 outfits for them that would work for the shoot, and allow them to select their favorite. Give them some options for a few accessories and props, and let them pick one to use in some of the photos. This gives them some buy-in for the process and gets them excited to participate, which will only equal better photos in the end!

Most of all, you and your family’s comfort is key above all else. You need to feel good in order to look your best, so don’t overthink it or put your fam in a bunch of outfits they’d never wear. Stay true to your personalities, let the kiddos get involved, and above all else, let your creativity shine through! Family photos should capture the individuality of everyone in your family in this season, so the clothing is really better left simple and comfy.

COLLECTION/SESSION PRICING
-Collections chosen include the photographer’s time, talent, and artistry, and private online gallery of images.
Applicable taxes will be applied to your session at the rate of 5% (GST)

RETAINER FEES
-Retainer fees are due at time of booking to secure the session date. In order to reserve the date and time of your session, this retainer is required. It is due prior to your session and will be credited towards any collection that you choose. Late or incomplete payment can result in loss of the your session time slot as Alicia reserves the right to offer unsecured session slots to other inquiries. Retainer Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, but are transferrable should illness or other scheduling issues arise. Collection choices must be decided upon and paid prior to or on the date of the session.

ILLNESS
-Please contact Alicia as soon as possible upon noting your child or family members’ illness so that the session can be rescheduled to a mutually convenient alternate date. 24 hours notice is appropriate, however Alicia also understands that some illnesses can occur with short notice. Rescheduled shoots must occur in the same calendar year as retainer fee payment. If Alicia is sick, she will ALWAYS reschedule sessions to protect her clients. If you have a session booked and ANY family member is sick or exhibiting symptoms (ie. cough, sore throat, runny nose, fever, vomiting or diarrhea especially those related to COVID) they are asked NOT to come to the session. As long as adequate notice is given, the session will be rescheduled with no additional fees.

By signing this contract, you are stating that you (or any close contact/family member) have NOT confirmed positive for Covid in the past 14 days, are exhibiting ANY symptoms or new onset of Covid related symptoms, or have been knowingly exposed to anyone displaying covid symptoms or confirmed positive. Please be honest here, as photos can certainly wait, and there will be no penalties for rescheduling due to this.

RESHOOTS
-Re-shoots are at the discretion of the artist and are not available for mini sessions or circumstances due to regretful choice (such as hairstyles, clothing options or unhappy children, fussy babies, weather etc).

CLIENT HEALTH & SAFETY
-Please note that Alicia will NEVER compromise child/ client safety for the sake of an image, and images will be done at the discretion of the photographer.

-Vigourous cleaning has always been a part of the studio’s routine, and this being even more true due to COVID 19. Alicia is diligent in sanitizing surfaces, spot cleaning, frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing etc during sessions. Alicia asks that you do the same when coming into your session- use the sanitizing station/wash hands frequently, and if possible, wear a mask when not being photographed. Keep younger children/siblings occupied and not touching anything in the space. All children need to be supervised at all times. All items, garbage, belongings, diapers etc will be brought back home with the clients. 

RECORDING POLICIES
-Alicia‘s cameras are the only cameras allowed at your session whether newborn, maternity, baby, child or family. Any and all types of recording devices are strictly prohibited. Please respect the time, talent and skill that goes into creation of final images and support Alicia’s livelihood by respecting this policy. I do, however love when clients share behind the scenes images with me.

LATENESS/MISSED APPOINTMENTS
-Alicia understands that, at times, we all run a bit behind. This is never more true than when working with babies and children. All minutes late will be deducted from the length of your session. After 20 minutes, Alicia reserves the right to leave the session meeting place and/or cancel your session. Please contact Alicia PRIOR to your session start time if you are running late. At this time the retainer may be lost. If less than 12 hours notice is given to reschedule a session, a $50.00 rescheduling fee will apply
- With mini sessions, it is imperative that you are on time for your session. Your time will not be held if you have missed your time slot entirely, as this interferes with the sessions scheduled after yours and for the rest of the day. For each minute late, you will be deducted that amount of time from your session.

GALLERY OF IMAGES
-Your gallery will be ready for viewing within 3 + weeks of your scheduled session date. Facebook sneak peeks will be shared within one week of the session. The proof images are chosen at the artist’s discretion. Files not shown are purged from the system and are not available for viewing. Images will be kept on an external hard drive for up to 6 months after the session has been completed, after which time the files are deleted and no longer available. Due to this, it is imperative that clients back up and save their images immediately to multiple devices to ensure that they will have access to them in the future. This will not be the photographers responsibility.

-Images are uploaded to an online gallery for a total of 14 days. Images MUST be downloaded within this time frame before the link expires and the images are no longer accessible. A re-upload fee of $35.00 will be charged should the gallery need to be reopened. Space is required for the next clients session, and Alicia does not offer any type of online file storage.

-Additional Images from a session with a numbered selection of images are available at $25 +gst each, or the entire gallery for $150 +gst.

-ALL galleries will reflect Alicia’s current portfolio, as seen on Facebook, Instagram and website. Alicia’s style will remain consistent to these sample images, and the same presets are used (designed by me) in all of my galleries. Most galleries will include B&W and colour images. B&W images in galleries will not be changed back to colour, as they are generally made B&W at the artists discretion.

RATIOS and IMAGE SIZING
-Please note that images may be presented in an 11 X 15 aspect ratio. Images ordered with a different cropping or aspect ratio will be cropped at the artist’s discretion unless otherwise noted. Many factors are considered when cropping images including the rule of thirds, creative display and artistic license. Images are sized to print up to 16 x 24.

MINOR AND MAJOR RETOUCHING
- Minor retouching is completed at the discretion of the artist and is included in the package for most STUDIO sessions. All extra or major retouching (such as teeth whitening and multiple or large scale skin enhancement / cleaning) is available at a rate of $50.00 / hour. Payment for retouching must be completed in full before work may commence. Retouching will not be available once the gallery has expired and the images/transaction has been approved.

- Outdoor sessions are meant to document real life in a candid, natural setting. Due to the 'photojournalistic' style of my lifestyle sessions, retouching and/or major edits are not generally part of these sessions. Alicia will not edit clients thinner, face swap or liquefy images in any way. She does, however, pose and angle clients in the most flattering ways. If you have concerns about anything at all, please contact Alicia to discuss prior to your session!

PAYMENT
-Full payment of the chosen package must be paid prior to or on the day of the session. Alicia Nicole Wopereis accepts payment by credit card or through EMT or Quickbooks. Payments can also be made through cash or personal cheque either through the mail or through a drop off appointment. Please contact Alicia upon order submission to arrange for payment drop off. NSF cheques will be charged a $35 fee.
REFUNDS
-Due to the custom nature of custom photography prints and products, all sales are final. Refunds will not be issued. Reprints will be ordered if there are major defects in any prints or products.

- All work delivered is a representation of the photographers portfolio and no refunds will be given for dissatisfaction based solely on personal preference.

COPYRIGHT INFORMATION
-Alicia Nicole Wopereis reserves the right to use the negatives, digital files and / or reproductions of such for display, publication or other. Negatives, digital files and originals remain the property and copyright of Alicia Nicole Wopereis. Alicia Nicole Wopereis reserves the right to include a blog & Facebook posting of your session, as well as submitting galleries for blog/magazine publications.

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
-All images remain copyrighted by Alicia Nicole Wopereis. Images may not be cropped, altered or edited in any way.

APPOINTMENT DATES/TIMES
-As with any business, hours and working days offered are the days that Alicia available at the time of booking. These will vary depending on the week, and work around previously booked appointments as well as personal schedule. Please note that in booking with Alicia Nicole Wopereis Photography, this does not guarantee that she is available on any given date and time, but will offer all possible appointments she does have to try and best work within the clients schedule. Refunds will not be given based on the photographer's availability, as long as there have been numerous options and times given in an adequate timeframe.

LIABILITY
-The signed party agrees that upon booking these services (to include but not limited to: services rendered at chosen outdoor locations, the clients personal residence OR upon entering the private residence of Alicia Nicole Wopereis) Alicia Nicole Wopereis photography shall not be held liable for any personal illness, injury, loss of any kind or damage to property.

-If Alicia Nicole Wopereis Photography is unable to supply the noted party with any photos from the session due to circumstances beyond their immediate control, (ie equipment malfunction or defect) Alicia Nicole Wopereis Photography will give the noted party a refund for the affected coverages in an amount determined by the photographer, acting reasonably, but in no event to exceed the amount paid for the affected coverages.

- This contract between Alicia Nicole Wopereis Photography and the client shall not become effective until it has been signed and the initial amount due has been paid (retainer). At the time the contract takes effect, Alicia Nicole Wopereis Photography shall reserve the date and time agreed upon , and not make any other reservations and not accept any other clients for said date and time. For this reason, in the event that the client cancels the contract for any reason, all monies paid shall be retained by Alicia Nicole Wopereis Photography in order to offset its loss of business. Policies and Pricing can change at any time and are non negotiable.

Directions to my home studio:

My address is 306082 Aspen Meadows Rise East, Foothills county. Our home may show up on Google maps or GPS as Wain Farms or Alicia Nicole Wopereis. It may not show up at all, so please double check the directions on how to get here. It is very simple and is only two turns from the highway. 

Coming from Calgary: Take HWY 2 South until the Kayben Farms turnoff (360 Ave). Take the exit and follow 306 Ave a few kms up until you see Aspen Meadows Rise East on your left hand side. Turn here. We are the last brown house on the left at the end of the road. Look for our blue sign number 306082.

From Okotoks: Take 32nd Street all the way up past Kayben Farms and turn left onto 306 Ave. Follow 306 Ave up until you see Aspen Meadows Rise East on your left hand side. Turn here. We are the last brown house on the left at the end of the road. Look for our blue sign number 306082.

Park by the side black gate, and come down the yard around the pond to the walk out basement door.
