Ambassador programs are a part of our Passport summer experiences which give Alephs and BBGs the opportunity to engage with and explore the Jewish community in either Argentina, Bulgaria, or South Africa, participate in community service, and grow as a global leader.
As an Ambassadors coordinator, we are looking for someone who has previously participated in a BBYO leadership experience (ILN, traveled on an Ambassadors trip, IC, CLTC, ILTC, Kallah, etc.), is in their last of high school (senior), can work in conjunction with staff to design the Ambassadors experience, and will collaborate with the rest of the summer coordinator team to recruit for all summer 2021 experiences.
Please submit either a written or video response of the following questions. Video responses should be no longer than 2 minutes each and written responses should be no longer than 250 words each. During the application process, we may reach out for additional conversation however, no formal interview will take place.
We are looking for each coordinator pairing to feature an individual from both a visiting community and the host community. The bolded positions are open for application.
Ambassadors to South Africa: BBG Coordinator, Emma Rosman; AZA Coordinator from South Africa
Ambassadors to Bulgaria: AZA Coordinator from Bulgaria or North America; BBG Coordinator from Bulgaria or North America
Ambassadors to Argentina: AZA Coordinator, Jake Lazar; BBG Coordinator from Latin America
Host and get to know all participants
Recruit for all Summer 2021 programs, with an emphasis on Ambassadors
Collaborate with the staff team to design the Ambassadors experience
Plan and facilitate community moments (teambuilders, ice breakers, separates, etc.)
Ensure participate relationship building with the host community
You must have a passport
For Coordinators from North America: pay for travel to New York and to the country of your trip. For all Coordinators the cost of the program will be covered.
