Award Criteria and Eligibility
Each Nominee for the Rising Star Research Award, given annually by the Eastern Nursing Research Society, must be a member of ENRS who:
- Has earned a research doctorate (Ph.D., EdD, DNS, or DNSc) within the last 7 years.
- Has shown promise in establishing a program of nursing-related research including a publishing record emanating from the program of research.
- Is not currently an ENRS Board member or ENRS Awards Committee member.
These documents must be submitted with the application:
- Statements from the nominator or applicant (two-page limit; single-spaced; 0.5 margins) and two additional references (one-page limit each) that make the case for the nominee’s major contribution(s), current research involvement, and why these are important (total of three (3) statements to be submitted)
- Nominee’s up-to-date curriculum vitae that clearly, accurately, and completely documents research contributions and current research activities
- PDF copies of three (3) representative refereed research publications
Notification
Email notifications will go out in late February 2021. Winners will be formally recognized on Thursday, March 25, 2021, during the Opening Keynote Presentation of the 33rd Virtual Annual Scientific Sessions.
