I. CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENT-ELECT AND COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON

Article IV, Officers, Section 1, Qualifications, of the TCTA Bylaws states:

A. A candidate must have been an Active member of the Association for at least four (4) consecutive years immediately preceding election.

B. An officer shall hold and maintain membership in the Association and local association, where applicable.

II. CANDIDATES FOR DIRECTOR-AT-LARGE [open to ethnic-minority candidates]

Article V, Section 2, Directors-at-Large, of the TCTA Bylaws states:

B. Qualifications.
1. Qualifications shall be the same as for District Directors.
2. No two (2) Directors-at-Large may serve from the same local CTA unit concurrently as long as there is more than one local association in a district.
3. A person shall be ineligble to run for a Director-at-Large position if election would extend tenure in office beyond five (5) consecutive years as a member of the Directors' Council. Years served as a District Director shall be included in the five-year limitation.
C. Term of Office.
1. Directors-at-Large shall serve a term of one (1) year.
2. Directors-at-Large shall assume office on June 1 following election.
