• Hermitage Reservation Form

    People come to the Hermitages for retreats of all types. Some come seeking spiritual growth, while others approach seeking stillness from the pace of daily life. Reading, writing, prayer, meditation, worship, nature walks – all can be part of a retreat. Some people spend part or all of their retreat in silence. Hermitages are places of retreat and reflection and are not intended as vacation cabins.

    Please visit our website at www.vcconferences.org/hermitages to check the calendar, and email or call the office at (828) 963-4453 or director@vcconferences.org to confirm date and cabin availability. We make every effort to ensure calendar accuracy, but it is updated and maintained by humans.

  • We have disabled Sunday check-ins to give our housekeeping staff the opportunity to spend time with family and worship. If you need to negotiate a Sunday arrival, please contact Margaret Love at (828) 963-4453 or director@vcconferences.org.

    Please observe check-in and check-out times. We must abide by these times to allow our housekeeping staff adequate time to clean the buildings. If you wish to arrive early or have a late check-out, we will do our best to accommodate your request, but it is not guaranteed.

  • We will do our best to accommodate your first choice of Hermitage, but they are assigned by availability. The Evelyn Underhill is our only fully accessible cabin; if you require the Underhill, please make a note of it in the form below.

              Full Payment Single Occupancy

              Pricing is $60/night for single occupancy, or $360 per week. Maximum of 3-week stay. Use the drop-down to select the number of nights you're staying. A one-night stay is $10 more.

              Booking a longer retreat? This option is for the budget-conscious guest who wishes to pay a deposit, but not the whole balance at once. You can always revisit this page to pay the remainder of your balance, or settle up at the office on your arrival.
