MAC presents the 1:5.5 scale series of Grumman A6 Intruders retooled from molds created for the A6 models flown in "Flight Of The Intruder", a John Millis film based on the Stephen Coonts' novel.

Grumman A6A IntruderMAC's A6A accurately replicates Grumman's A6A first flown in April 1960. The A6A was created to fulfill the Navy's requirement for an all-weather, "intelligent" 24/7 attack-close air support weapon. In 1964 it began fulfilling this role in the Vietnam War and continued to do so for thirty (30) years, concluding at the end of the Gulf War. $TBD.

Grumman EA6A Intruder AEWAdvanced all-weather ("0" visibility) attack-ECM version of the Grumman A6 with electronics pods mounted on top of the vertical fin, wing tips and leading edge of wing root. In the (ECM) Electronic Countermeasure & (EW) Electronic Warfare role the EA6A was created for the U.S. Marine Corps. In the attack role (Wild Weasel the EA6A is equipped with radar seeking AGM-45 Shrike anti-radiation missiles. $TBD.

Grumman KA6D Intruder78 A6A and 12 A6E were converted to internal refueling systems with an extendable fuel delivery hose and drogue chute. The D-704 refueling pod with its extendable fuel delivery hose and drogue chute supplemented the internal fueling system. A standard load-out was four wing mounted tanks. All KA6D were daylight/visual bombing capable. $TBD.
