The Learning Reimbursement program offers financial aid to eligible members of IBEW Local 37 for training and development, with a maximum of $2,000 per person per fiscal year. This can cover various activities such as university courses, workshops, conferences, e-learning, and self-study.
Assistance is provided on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on individual merit and available funds. Financial assistance for wages, including replacement wages, is not provided. Applications must be submitted before the learning event, and funding isn't provided for activities required by NB Power. Please specify any employer funding in section #6 of the application.
Here's how to apply:
1. Complete this form, Part A - Application for Financial Support, and submit before starting the training.
2. Our Trustees will review your application to ensure it aligns with the Training Trust Fund's mandate.
3. You will receive an email notifying you if your application has been approved or denied.
4. If approved, submit Part B of the Request for Reimbursement with all necessary documentation upon completing the activity.
5. If your application is denied, you can appeal, and it will be reviewed at the next Training Trust meeting.
