  • A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a reference number made up of numbers and letters that gives you access to your USI account to be linked to the National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Data Collection allowing you to see all of your training results from all providers including all completed training units and qualifications. Under legislation from 1st January 2015, Harward International College will be unable to issue a statement of attainment or qualification unless we have a verified USI attached to the student record.     In collecting your personal information and proving it to the USI Registry for the verification and creation of USI, Harward International College recognises the importance of protecting your privacy and personal information. Harward International College as per our Privacy Policy is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act), which regulates how agencies collect, use, disclose and store personal information, including sensitive information, and how individuals may access and correct records containing their personal information. We respect your rights to privacy under the Privacy Act and we comply with all the Privacy Act’s requirements in respect of the collection and management of your personal information.

    How to apply for a USI?

    You can apply online at www.usi.gov.au, you must then provide your USI to Harward International College.        OR

  • Under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, Harward International College(HIC) is required to collect personal information about you and to disclose that personal information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).

    Your personal information (including the personal information contained on this enrolment form) may be used or disclosed by HIC for statistical, administrative, regulatory and research purposes. HIC may disclose your personal information for these purposes to:

    • School – if you are a secondary student undertaking VET, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship;
    • Employer – if you are enrolled in training paid by your employer;
    • Commonwealth, State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies;
    • NCVER;
    • Organisations conducting student surveys; and
    • Researchers.

    Personal information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for the following purposes:

    • populated authenticated VET transcripts;
    • facilitating statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage;
    • pre-populating RTO student enrolment forms;
    • understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce, planning and consumer information; and
    • administering VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.

    You may receive a student survey which may be administered by a government department or NCVER employee, agent or third-party contractor or authorised agencies. Please note you may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted

    NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the National VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER’s website at www.ncver.edu.au).

    The students are expected to fill this form, by following the application steps process from our website: You are here, because you are planning to study one of our courses and you shall have contacted us via a phone call or an email or through an agent.

    You are required to follow the steps below:

    Step 1: Please fill the Online “Enrolment Form for International Students” and email the form to your agent if you have come through an agent or send us the form if you have been contacted by the HIC staff to introduce our courses to you.

    Step 2: Student will be called for a face to face interview if the student is available to come face to face, if not the staff member/agent will schedule a telephonic interview using our pre-enrolment interview form/process. Selection for enrolment in our courses will be approved for applicants who meets the course admission requirements as per the course brochures on our website. The applicants are placed in a suitable course by the staff member/agent after reviewing applicants existing knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications that are relevant to the course being applied for. HIC staff member/education agent will then review this information and respond to the student with the outcome of the review whether to proceed to approve the enrolment.

    Step 3: if the student is selected for the course enrolment, then the staff member/education agent will email the student to provide the certified copies of:

    • Documentation evidence of course admission requirements (as per the relevant course brochure available from website)
    • Student's passport
    • Copy of Student's Visa (If you do not have any type of visa, please ignore sending any)
    • Relevant employment details (if any) Note: All certified translations must accompany documents that are not in English.

    Step 4: Copies must be either color scanned or certified by “originals sighted stamped, dated and signed” by any third person/ HIC staff member/agent/ Justice of the Peace or Public Notary/overseas diplomatic mission.

    • If a student is seeking to apply for credit transfer from their previous study, please attach your academic certificates, transcripts and/or statement of attainment.
  • Section 17: Student Declaration and Consent

    1. I declare that the information given in this application and the supporting documentation is true and correct.
    2. I understand that any incorrect information or documentation given or the withholding of relevant information or documentation that relates to this application may result in cancellation of an offer letter or enrolment as a consequence.
    3. I declare that I am a genuine student and a genuine temporary entrant as outlined by the Department of Home Affairs ( https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/student-500/genuine-temporary-entrant )
    4. I have read and understood HIC’s Privacy Policy and authorise HIC to collect, use and disclose my personal information as permitted or required by law and in accordance with the HIC Privacy Policy. In particular, I understand that the personal information that I have provided may be disclosed to Commonwealth and State agencies, and designated authorities as required under the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students in certain circumstances, including changes to my enrolment, photo or video evidence collection during training & assessment and any breach of a prescribed student visa condition.
    5. I declare that I have access to sufficient funds to cover tuition fee, travel, living costs and OSHC costs for myself and my dependants for the total duration of my stay in Australia.
    6. I understand, to assist in identifying any special learning needs and support, I must undertake LLN Test prior to course commencement/at the time of orientation and support will be provided as mentioned in the LLN policy and procedure (please refer to HIC website).
    7. I understand that Harward International College may refuse to issue an offer if it assesses my financial capacity as insufficient.
    8. I understand Harward International College may seek any additional information and documentation/evidence to confirm my financial capacity to funds.
    9. I am aware that I am required to make timely payments of all fees and associated costs failure to pay my fees on time will result in cancellation of enrolment.
    10. I declare that I have visited Harward International College’s website and/or read the International Student Prospectus and understand the relevant sections, including the attendance requirement, course information requirement(s) of the courses including delivering of the courses, admission requirement(s), tuition fees, terms and conditions and refund policy.
    11. I agree to allow Harward International College to check my visa entitlements via DHA’s Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) system.
    12. I agree to allow Harward International College to obtain official records from any prior or current educational institutions I have attended and have stated on this application form.
    13. I understand that tuition fees do not include admission fees, books and other course materials other than those specifically stated on an offer letter.
    14. I understand that this agreement and the availability of Harward International College’s complaint and appeals processes do not remove my right to take action under Australia’s consumer protection laws.
    15. I understand that the HIC reserves the right to alter any course, unit, entry requirements or fee without prior notice and follow all the responsibilities as an international student prescribed in my visa conditions and follow all the information provided in the monthly emails from Harward International College relating to course progress requirement and attendance requirement.
    16. I understand Harward International College to refuse application of enrolment on the basis of HIC’s discretion and will/do not provide any further information of refusal.
    17. I understand that course will be delivered as per the sessions plan and the trainer's discretion and amount of theory and practicals will be decided by the trainer and HIC management.
