ADOPTION EVENT LEAD - In-Person/Local to San Diego: The Adoption Event Lead helps create a positive experience for volunteers, partner businesses, and the general public. This includes delegating event tasks, handling logistics during the event, communicating event details to the team, and coordinating event supply pick-up. Prior volunteer experience with TCF is required before moving into this role.PUPPY PARTY LEAD - In-Person/Local to San Diego: The Puppy Party Lead will be on-site during the party to ensure everything runs smoothly. They’ll manage party logistics, including event-day setup, communication with party volunteers and fosters, and coordination of puppy drop-off and pick-up. The goal of this role is to help everyone—people and pups—have a great time! Prior volunteer experience with TCF is required before moving into this role.PUPPY PARTY COORDINATOR - Remote:The Puppy Party Coordinator helps make every party a success from start to finish. As the main point of contact with the client, they’ll reach out via email and text to those who interested in booking a TCF puppy party, as well as confirm all the party details. They’ll also ensure the party contract is sent out, organize party volunteers and fosters, and follow up with the client after the event.Other

- The Volunteer understands and acknowledges that volunteering with The Cantu Foundation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injuries resulting from interactions with animals, animal bites or scratches, zoonotic diseases, transportation of animals, lifting or handling equipment or supplies, property damage, and other unforeseen risks associated with animal rescue activities. The Volunteer voluntarily assumes all such risks associated with participating in volunteer activities.
- In consideration of being permitted to volunteer with The Cantu Foundation, the Volunteer agrees, to the fullest extent permitted by California law, to release, waive, hold harmless, defend, and indemnify The Cantu Foundation, its directors, volunteers, and authorized representatives from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or relating to the Volunteer’s participation in any volunteer activity or event, except to the extent such claims arise from the gross negligence, reckless conduct, or willful misconduct of The Cantu Foundation.
- The Volunteer acknowledges that work performed on behalf of The Cantu Foundation is voluntary and unpaid unless otherwise agreed to in writing. The Volunteer further agrees to follow all safety instructions, policies, and procedures established by The Cantu Foundation and understands that failure to do so may result in the termination of volunteer privileges.
