Partner Commitment
Partner Agrees to:
• Engage in recruitment strategies that promote the benefits of the Mentor 52 Initiative.
• Accept mentors whose skills, motivations and backgrounds best match the goals and structure of the program.
• Accept clients whose needs best match the services offered by the program.
• Communicate to mentors about how mentoring can benefit them.
• Establish criteria for accepting mentors into the program.
• Complete monthly data reports.
• Provide 2-3 success stories on an annual basis.
• Have prospective mentors complete tools (application, interview, training, etc) that include questions designed to help assess their safety and suitability for mentoring.
• Conduct necessary screening on prospective mentors.
• Obtain parent/guardian informed permission prior to clients/volunteers under age 18 participation.
• Respond to all volunteer inquiries within three business days.
• Provide training to new volunteers.
• Contact mentors and clients on a regular basis.
• Regularly assess volunteers to determine if they are still active. If they are not, work with clients to obtain needed services or provide a referral to another organization.
