Two references are needed for participation in the Volunteer Counselor Internship, which is the next step to volunteering after taking this training class. References are not contacted for taking this training class, but for moving forward to volunteer. This is done towards the end of your training class. It is helpful to have this information now to speed that process. Please note, the pastoral reference is very important. While we know a mentor or other leader can provide a good reference, that reference can be used for the friend/colleague entry.
