Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all property loaned by Lead The Way Learning Academy is kept in the best possible working condition and to ensure proper use of such property.
Use of Equipment

LTWLA will loan a tablet device – based on first come, first served and availability basis – to the parent or legal guardian(s) of students actively participating in Lead The Way Learning Academy’s Summer Learning Zone.

Parent/guardian must request the device and agree to accept responsibility for its care, condition and use.

The use of the tablet is for the Virtual Summer Learning Zone.

The use of tablet and all software and related tools must be used in a safe, responsible and appropriate manner.

Student participation in Zoom sessions must be at a minimum of 80% otherwise the device will be collected/returned to Lead The Way Learning Academy.
Equipment Pick up/Return
Parent/Guardian can obtain the equipment in two ways. First option is pick-up at Lead The Way Learning Academy location. The Second option is for equipment to be dropped off at your home.

Pick-up: Parent or guardian can schedule pick up Wednesday through Saturday, June 17th through June 20th. Parent must show valid ID at time of pick-up. Parent or guardian will sign an agreement accepting responsibility and liability of the equipment.

Drop-off: If you are unable to pick up in person, you can request that a staff member of Lead The Way Learning Academy schedule a day/time to deliver the tablet to the home. (We must see a valid ID card.) *Please let us know if your schedule changes in advance. Lead The Way Learning Academy staff will inspect equipment for any damage and to ensure that it is functioning properly with the parent/guardian (prior to the responsible party signing for the equipment.
