Minimum Requirements for Starting A BAF Campaign Branch
Part 1
- All applicants must be Official BAF Campaign Ambassadors.
- There must be four interim Executive Leaders in place: 1. President, 2. Vice President, 3. Secretary, and 4. Treasurer. Official Executive Leaders will be elected by Branch Ambassadors once Branch Application is approved.
- Executive Leaders must be able to commit at least three hours a week towards the development and operation of the Branch.
- All four interim Executive Leaders must complete the official BAF Campaign Branch Application.
Part 2
- Once Part 1 of the application process is completed, the four Executive Leaders must recruit a minimum of 25 Official BAF Campaign Branch Ambassadors.
- All branch members must be Official BAF Campaign Ambassadors.
Role & Responsibility of BAF Campaign Branches
The primary responsibilities of Campaign Branches are to sign-up new members through the following four methods:
1. Social Media Marketing – Help gain new members by creating persuasive social media ads and engaging prospective members across all social media platforms. All BAF Branch Ambassadors are to Subscribe, turn on Notifications and Like, Comment, and Share all BAF social media posts.
2. Street Team Promotions – Establish weekly street teams to market and promote the BAF campaign in each Campaign Branch community. This includes handing out flyers and other BAF campaign material at strategic locations, putting up posters and yard signs, door-to-door canvassing, etc.
3. Campaign Marketing Events – Create marketing events to help sign-up new BAF members and Official Campaign Ambassadors. Events may include, meet-and-greets at a park or Black restaurant/business, BAF campaign block party, BAF bbq, etc., Please Note: While we are under covid-19 red alert all events must be online or otherwise approved by BAF headquarters.
4. Conducting Research – Provide research to help develop initiatives such as The Black List - BAF’s Black Business & Nonprofit website and app, and conduct surveys to gain information and insights to inform and guide BAF planning and strategy.
