  •  Frost Mountain Nordic Ski Club (FMN) is a community-minded, 501c3 non-profit dedicated to creating a healthier, more active, outdoor lifestyle for all ages and abilities. When you join FMN as a Supporting Member you directly share our mission to make our programs low-cost and the outdoors accessable to anyone in our community.

     


  • Frost Mountain Programs Overview

    FMN currently offers the following programs:  Bill Koch League, Junior Racers, Phatcats, and Annual Membership (incl. HS Summer Training). 

    Annual Membership/ High School Summer Training

    • Cost:  $30 per person - per membership year (June 1st-May 31st)
    • Provides access to FMN equipment and covers liability for off season training
    • Supports FMN programming and coaching
    • Includes an official FMN Sticker

    Bill Koch League (BKL) Offerings - for kids in grades K through 8

    BKL Skiers (K thru 8th grade) 

    • Saturdays 2:00 - 4:00 pm (Exact group times TBD)
    • For beginning skiers with a focus on fun and group skiing
    • Skiers are introduced to the New England Bill
      Koch League and NENSA
    • Cost: $85 (includes FMN membership, Rikert ski rental & trail
      access for BKL Saturdays)

    BKL Skiers Family Program (K thru 8th grade PLUS one parent/guardian) 

    • Saturdays 2:00 - 4:00 pm (Exact group times TBD), Wednesdays (on your own)
    • For beginning skiers with a focus on fun and group skiing together with their parent/guardian
    • Skiers are introduced to the New England Bill Koch League and NENSA
    • Cost: $150 (includes FMN membership, Rikert ski rental & trail access for BKL Saturdays and Wednesdays for child and one parent/guardian (no adult rental available on Saturdays))

    Bobcats (2nd thru 8th grade) 

    • Saturdays (9:00 - 10:00 am) and Wednesdays 3:00-4:00 pm
    • Beginning to Intermediate skiers ready to learn technique and motivated to ski longer distances
    • Includes group skiing with some games & an introduction to racing
    • Classic and skate skis required
    • Cost: $160 (includes FMN membership)*

    Wildcats (5th thru 8th grade)

    • Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm, Fridays 3:30-5pm and Saturdays 9:00-10:30am
    • For intermediate and advanced skiers
    • Focus on technique for skate and classic, race prep including intro to wax and prep for skis
    • Coached by experienced ski instructors 
    • Classic & skate skis, skate or combi boots required
    • Cost: $300 (includes FMN membership & optional preseason)*

    Junior Racers - for competitive high schooler racers

    • Advanced skiers interested in competetive racing
    • Wax prep and race support from experienced ski coaches
    • Dry-land/Off-season training with experienced ski coaches, Cost: $150
    • Eastern Cup/VT Cup Race support -- CURRENTLY ON HOLD  
    • Includes FMN membership

    PhatCats - to be determined

    • Dates & Times TBD (clinics and tour skis for all abilities) 
    • For the adult skier looking to get an edge on stride & glide in a fun group setting
    • Cost: $30 FMN Membership (additional fees for clinics and/or guided tours TBD) *

    *Rikert Ski Pass Required and sold separately at Rikert Nordic Center

    PLEASE NOTE: The membership fee is included in all youth program fees  A FMN Annual Membership is for anyone who is not enrolled in a program but would like to lease FMN equipment, participate in summer training and/or just support the club!

  • Scholarships and financial assistance are available!

    FMN has a scholarship fund available for skiers and their families. If you would like to apply for financial assistance, please email us at info@frostmountainnordic.org to request an application and connect with a member of the FMN Board.

  • BKL Program Note:

    Due to COVID Health & Safety Guidelines, skiers and parents/guardians will not be able to go inside the Rikert lodge or team room this season other than to use the bathroom, grab-and-go food and pick up rental equipment. Parents/Guardians will need to be on site during the entirety of each session.

  • Important Healthy & Safety Waiver & Forms:

    To participate in Frost Mountain Nordic programming this season, the linked forms must be read, agreed to and signed (entering your name below will indicate you agree to these conditions for participation):

    • COVID-19 waiver

    • Daily health screening --Health screenings should take place at home each day before attending workouts/practice.

  •  This club is run solely by volunteers, and your help throughout the season is appreciated. This can mean helping out each week during practice, help at events, or behind the scenes. Volunteers are vital to Frost Mountain being able to offer the programming it does each winter. Please indicate below how you can help Frost Mountain this winter. THANK YOU!
