TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Alliance Française reserves the right to reject applications for student enrolment.
Fees are payable in advance at the time of registration. An admin fee of R100 is added to all new registrations.
Private classes cannot exceed 8 weeks for a 10 hours course. For the 20/30 hours classes: private classes cannot exceed 10 weeks for a 20 hours course, and cannot exceed 15 weeks for a 30 hours course. There is some flexibility and this can be changed and recalculated at the discretion of the private course manager, depending on the student's requirements, and after consultation.
In the event that a student cannot attend a class, he/she must inform the Alliance Française de Pretoria no later than 24 hours before the start of the class; in such a case, the class can be postponed. If the student fails to inform the Alliance Française, the class will be forfeited.
Course material is optional, and is not included in the price.
Payment can be made by debit order, bank transfer, cheque, cash or credit card (proof of payment must be brought to our reception at least a week before the beginning of the course in order to collect the study material).
No refund will be granted for partial, discontinued, interrupted or non-attendance of a course.
In the event of serious illness and/or incapacity justified by a medical certificate, the student may ask to have the session postponed to another time.
A proof of payment will be required by the teacher prior to gaining admission to classes. Therefore, the student must ensure they have their receipt for each payment made.
The signatory hereto indemnifies the Alliance Française against liability of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising for loss or damage to property, injury or death while on the premises of the Alliance Française of Pretoria.
Parking is available outside the Alliance Française of Pretoria. We encourage everyone to please report any suspicious activity. Our security company will follow up with a prompt investigation. Parking is entirely at your own risk. The management and personnel do not accept any claim arising out of injury, death, theft, loss or damage to property, or any other similar occurrence and/or accident causing damages to you or your property, including that of third parties, within the confines, or on any part of the property.
In the event that a teacher is sick, absent or incapacitated, the classes will either be postponed or a replacement teacher will be found.
The Alliance Française de Pretoria is completely compliant with the relevant acts set forth within the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of 26 November 2013. All your personal information may be accessed or destroyed as per your request upon completing the Application Form for Data Access, which can be found here.
