The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you upon receipt of your application to schedule an interview. Applicants must be at least 13 years old to be considered. Some volunteer positions at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes require background checks and/or fingerprinting. If the position you are applying for has that requirement we will email you to let you know or discuss that in person. We then will ask that you fill out an NCSL Background Investigation Consent form allowing us to perform such a check. That form is to be brought to the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes in person and not emailed or scanned. The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes will at no point contact you and ask for any identification, including but not limited to social security numbers or driver license numbers over the phone or by email.
