Emergency Repair Work Notifications are issued for existing systems that are in need of repair. Before you begin work, you must complete this Emergency Repair Work Notification by providing the required information below.
Once this form has been submitted, you may start working to get the system repaired to proper working order. After we receive your emergency repair work notification, we will contact you during regular business hours to assist you with the permitting requirements.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Emergency repair work notifications are for existing systems that are in need of repair to get them back in working order. Examples include: devices/sprinkler heads not working, FACP ruined by lightning, sprinkler head hit by forklift, or other system issues.
- This does not include adding additional systems, new sprinkler heads or devices. The intent of this request is specifically to get an existing system working again as it was originally designed.
- The emergency repair work notification is not a permit. It is simply a way to restore fire systems to working order before permit approval for life safety purposes.
- Submitting for associated permits will still be required within 72 hours. Permit requirements are located on this page.
Anyone who submits a form should be aware that in accordance with the North Carolina Public Records law, found in North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 132, his or her e-mail address is considered public record.
