Art and Storytelling 101 is a fun and unique virtual course that stimulates your child’s artistic imagination, creativity, and intuition. We will create a storybook together that can help your child develop both left and right brain skills. Along the way, your child will learn professional art techniques in various mediums, storytelling structure, and writing skills.
What your child will learn in each session:
- Pencil sketch
- Watercolor
- Shading techniques
- Color theory
- Character creation
- Writing structure and grammar
- Presentation skills
For whom: lesson content designed for elementary school kids
This course is taught by Hannah Qin, a senior undergraduate at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She was named by Bellevue Art Museum as one of the 20 Under 20 artists of 2016. Hannah’s work has been displayed in multiple gallery exhibitions and she has produced award-winning films that premiered in Los Angeles and New York. Hannah is passionate about tutoring and teaching art to elementary and middle-school aged kids. This is why she created this course, a safe and interactive learning environment where talent and vision can run free.
Time: Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 PM, the dates are 11/11, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9
Fees: $100 for the session (5 lessons)
