HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
The undersigned applicant consents that the water services provided at the location described on the front of the application may be turned on without applicant or applicant's representatives present. Applicant further agrees to hold Bay County and its employees HARMLESS should the property, building(s) or premises incur damages as result of water connection.
Billing Cycle:
Bills are issued on a monthly basis. The billing date is the 20th of each month. Due dates are not adjustable.
Payment Terms: Payments are due the 20th of each month
Failure to receive a bill does not exempt you from penalties or disconnection for non-payment. We are not responsible for late remittances made through the mail service. Customer can pay Inperson, mail, drop box, online or over the phone.

Late Penalty:
A late penalty of 10% will be added to your current bill amount, if bill is not paid by the 20th.
Service Fee:
Any account with a past due balance on the day of disconnection will be charge a $40.00 service fee even if the service has not been disconnected.
Disconnect Policy:
Any account that was not been paid by the 5th of the following month is subject to disconnect.
Reconnect Policy:
All accounts that are paid to current amount will be reconnected the same day as disconnection day. Payments made after the date of disconnection prior to 1:00pm will be reconnected same day. All others will be reconnected the following business day.
Returned Payments:
Returned payments will be charged a $25.00, $30.00, or 5% fee depending on the amount of the return payment. Return payment will have to be paid in cash, cashier check or money order. Unpaid returned payments will be subject to disconnection on the 16th day of the date on the letter. Checks will no longer be accepted on accounts having two returned payments in a six month period. Payments will be required in the form of cash, money order, or debiUcredit cards.
Terminate Service:
Only an accountholder listed on an account can terminate service(s). Verification of personal identifying information will be required. Service will be disconnected on the same day as long as the request is before 3:30pm or the next working day or at a later specified date, excluding weekends and holidays. A final reading will be taken on requested termination date and a final bill or deposit refund check will be mailed to the forwarding address provided.
Reinstated Service:
Any customer that's has an account with outstanding balances will be required to pay the entire balance before new service can be established; along with any deposits required and/or service fees.
Tampering Policy:
In the event a meter or service equipment has been tampered, service will be disconnected immediately. A Tampering Fee will be due before service can be restored.
Water Leaks Policy:
If a water leak is found on the customers ' side of the meter, it is the customers ' responsibility to have the leak repaired immediately. Bay County has the right to turn the water off until the customer can have the leak repaired. Water should be turned off when not in use until repair is complete. A leak adjustment for sewer may be granted after evidence and confirmation of repairs are made.
Watering Grass Policy:
Accounts that do not have an irrigation meter or a well installed will be charged sewer even though the water doesn't impact our sewer system.
Pool Fill Policy:
Bay County Utilities has to have beginning reading and an ending reading to be able to adjust any sewer off the account. The customer must notify Bay County Utilities the day before to get the beginning reading of the pool fill and the last day to get the end reading. If the account has an irrigation meter, the customer must use irrigation meter when filling the pool. Accounts are only granted one pool fill per year.
These terms and conditions are provided for your benefit to communicate Bay County Utility Services policies regarding billing procedures, payment terms and fees. By requesting services, you agree to all of the conditions listed in this document. The undersigned applicant acknowledges that he or she has received a copy of the Bay County Utility service Information sheet, which gives information to the customer regarding deposit, amounts, usage rates, billing procedures, and disconnect for non-payment policy.
