  • Dear Prospective Intern,

Thank you for your interest in serving as an intern for The George Floyd Memorial Foundation, Inc. This internship prepares college students and young professionals to become world renowned leaders through community outreach, voter engagement, police reform & advocacy, and public policy. We are excited to partner with the Texas A&M University- Commerce African-American Male Mentorship Program (AAMMP). Being that George Floyd was an African-American male student within the Texas A&M University system, together, we will further his legacy to ensure that Black men alike complete college, pursue industry leading roles, and cultivate a network of opportunities for the future generations to come.

The George Floyd Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established by Bridgett Floyd (Sister) and family members, in memory of the late George Perry Floyd. Jr. George Floyd’s premature death caused by the inappropriate and life shattering use of force at the hands of law enforcement, has captivated the attention of millions of people around the world. For eight minutes and forty-six seconds, the world watched, yet, another black man die at the hands of police brutality and unfiltered bigotry.

Our goal is to ensure George Floyd’s legacy is upheld. The foundation will continue to promote global awareness about racial injustice and provide opportunities for others to contribute to the unification of our communities and touch the world.

We’re excited that you’re applying to the Be His Legacy Internship Program, and we look forward to working with you soon.

Always remember, Be the Voice, Be the Change, Be His Legacy!

    Warm Regards,

The George Floyd Memorial Foundation, Inc.
