SOS is authorized to E-record in the following counties: Alameda, Butte, Calaveras, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Fresno, Kkern, Los Angeles, Madera, Marin, Merced, Modoc, Mono, Monterey, Napa, Nevada, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sonoma, Tehama, Tulare, Tuolumne, Ventura, Yuba, and Kern.

If SOS is preparing your document, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THIS QUESTIONNAIRE. SOS cannot guarantee the date of E-recording, in any county, under any circumstances. E-recording submission fees: $45 for the first document to be recorded, and $35 for each concurrent document within the same package/property(ies). (NOTE: these fees do NOT include recording fees.)

You are encouraged to email your recording documents for advance review by SOS (connie@soslda.com) to allow time for any e-recording corrective measures, before sending the originals to SOS. Check with the county recorder for any additional required local forms.

Your matter will be submitted to the recorder in the order received. Although we will look for obvious omissions etc., SOS is not responsible for the content of any/all documents submitted for recording, including supporting documents, such as PCORS, Claims for Reassessment, Affidavits re tax exemptions, etc.

Please make certain the document(s) is/are all legible. If, after submission, the recording package is rejected by the county, you will be notified of same, and expected to remedy the issue. Our goal is to help you get this recorded.
