Project Description:
Henry Ford Macomb will be expanding its services, which will include an approximately 225,000 square feet, 160 bed, patient tower addition at the north side of its campus. A two-story bridge above the existing north entrance will connect the new tower to the existing hospital. The project will also include a 11,600-square-foot expansion of the hospital's power plant and provide enhanced infrastructure to service the new tower and existing hospital house. Additional parking and other site improvements are included to provide a better and safer navigation of the site. Because 107 existing patient rooms will be renovated and converted to private rooms, the hospital's overall bed count of 361 will not change. The project in total is approximately 350,000 square feet. Construction slated to start on November 30, 2020. The completion of Renovation is September 2024.
