Our Story
Angels Foster Care protects abused, neglected and abandoned infants and toddlers, nurtures them in one loving home until adoption or reunification, and ensures that they reach their maximum development potential.
Right now, there are roughly 350 children in foster care in Santa Barbara County. Approximately one out of every three are under the age of five. These babies and toddlers have suffered abuse, abandonment and neglect. Your donations will prevent these precious children from suffering the additional trauma of bouncing from home to home while in foster care because they will be nurtured in one stable home by one set of loving Angels Foster Care parents.
Angels Foster Care maximizes healthy physical and emotional development during a difficult time in children’s lives. Placement instability is harmful to infants and toddlers and dangerous during a pandemic. All infants are at higher risk of severe illness with COVID-19. Many Angels Foster Care infants are at extremely high risk because they have medical conditions related to low birth weight, substance exposure during pregnancy, preterm birth, and/or substance addiction at birth. These babies need the extra protection provided by Angels Foster Care.
