  • That's okay, you can tell us later, but to complete your registration, we need to know which program you would like to enroll in. Read the descriptions below and choose one:

The orchestra program is for stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass)

Your teacher will be Mr. Ronning.

    (His name is pronounced "Raw-ning.")

Please tell us how you plan to get an instrument...

  • You've chosen an ORCHESTRA instrument.

Your teacher will be Mr. Banet.

    Mr. Banet

    (It rhymes with "Janet.")

Please tell us how you plan to get an instrument...

  • There are two programs for renting an instrument from the school. Each building maintains it's own limited supply of beginner instruments. The rental fee for an instrument from Mason is $80 per year.

The district has an "Instrument Scholarship Program" for students who qualify for financial assistance. ISP instruments are not part of the building inventory and may take extra time to be delivered to Mason. The rental fee for ISP instruments is $45 for the year.

Regardless of which program you choose, parents must still purchase the necessary cleaning supplies and accessories to maintain the instrument while in use. You will find these items at local music stores.

UPDATE 9/20/2022: Mason's supply of school flutes, trumpets, clarinets, and trombones have run out. Options for sourcing a band instrument include renting from a store or (for families in financial need) the district's ISP program.
