  • You will receive an invitation to join Finger Lake Fleet's TeamSnap account.  This is a required step to join our club.  You also will receive an invoice for membership via email.  (Current membership for 2021 is $30 per athlete.  This fee is subject to change as our program evolves with need and members will always be notified in advance.  Inability to pay should never be a reason to not join our team; waivers for membership fees are available.)

  • As the parent or legal guardian of the above athlete, I fully understand that participation in athletics, in this case track and field, cross country, and road and trail running could result in both minor and serious injury and even death. I, further, understand that to minimize the risk of injury or harm, the athlete should have had a physical within the past year. I assume any and all risks associated with the above athlete’s participation as a member of the Finger Lakes Fleet club and I hereby waive and release the Finger Lakes Fleet, its coaches, and representatives of any and all rights for damages or injuries suffered while participating with the Finger Lakes Fleet club during a scheduled practice, conditioning session, or competition; while traveling to or from a scheduled practice, conditioning session or competition; or during any other club related activity. I agree to abide by all rules established by the club , including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever.

    I attest that I have read the rules of the club and agree to abide by them. I assume all risks associated with being a member of this club and participating in club activities which may include: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and personal music players are not allowed to be used by athletes in club organized activities and I agree to abide by this rule.

    Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my membership, I, for myself, my child, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release this club, USATF, all club sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my or their participation with the club, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my and my child's photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record for any legitimate promotional purposes for the club.

    COVID-19

    If you choose to allow your son or daughter to attend club practices or events, please note the following restrictions by Governor Cuomo still apply:
    1. If you have spent more than 24hrs in one of these states since 06/25 you must self quarantine for 14 days when returning to NY do not attend these group runs.Based upon Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 205, issued July 28, 2020, the following states meet the criteria for required quarantine: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Deleware, District of Colombia, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, MInnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah, Virgina, Washington, Wisconsin.  You agree to abide by all updated travel restrictions and directives on an ongoing basis.

    2. Runners must maintain a distance of at least six feet at all times. If a shorter distance is required, individuals must wear acceptable face coverings. Acceptable face coverings for COVID-19 include but are not limited to cloth-based face coverings and disposable masks that cover both the mouth and nose3. Do not attend if you have a fever or are exhibiting any of the following COVID-19 symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.Please bring your own water bottle, towel for core and stretching, and bug spray/tic repellent. There should be no sharing of these items among athletes. 

    3. All runners must complete the health screening via TeamSnap before arriving at any team event including practices and competitions.
